President Bush at Earth Summit
“Environmental President”--who is George Bush kidding? He has continued nonsupport of international family planning agencies, fights against the Clean Air Act, against the Clean Water Act, and supports the continued destruction of the old-growth forests. His representation at the Earth Summit is a disgrace. How dare he propose spending $1.4 billion for climate research while continuing his disregard for the existing environmental scholarship that supports action to limit global warming? President Bush can add the Rio summit to his growing list of “environmental” achievements; it fits right in!
