Pond Bones May Be of Missing Woman

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A highway crew found skeletal remains not far from the site where a 30-year-old woman disappeared five months ago, authorities said.
The bones were found in a small pond Thursday afternoon, a spokesman for the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office said.
In mid-January, Judy MacFarlane disappeared on the same street after leaving church services. She was last seen picking flowers in the rain as she walked to her home about seven blocks from the church.
