FULLERTON : District to Hire Firm to Audit Phone Bills
The Fullerton School District Board of Trustees has decided to hire Tel-Adjust California to conduct an audit of its phone bills for the past two years.
The audit will cover the period between July, 1990, and June, 1992, said Bill Moore, assistant superintendent for the district.
Moore said the district has no reason to suspect anything is amiss in its phone bills, but decided to go ahead with the audit after talking with administrators from several other districts, including the Beverly Hills Unified School District, who reported good experiences with the company.
“It’s not going to cost us anything unless they find anything and if they gain, we gain,” Moore said.
The audit is conducted by the firm on a contingency basis. The district has budgeted $85,000 for telephone service for the 1992-93 academic year.
