Student Deaths and Access to Guns

Your editorial is silly. The black market--where most criminals get their weapons--has a 100-year supply of illegal guns. It does not require permits, inspections, interviews, licenses, registration, safety courses, etc. Tracing guns is irrelevant: The black market ignores paperwork.

What is needed, first, is an accurate, complete and computerized database of criminals--not of the law-abiding. Second, criminals should be prosecuted for gun-related crimes--not citizens who own guns.
