Toshiba Picks VP: Toshiba America Inc., a New York holding company that oversees the Japanese electronics giant’s Orange County operations, has appointed Taizo Nishimuro vice chairman.
In the newly created position, Nishimuro will also be chairman of Toshiba America Entertainment Inc., which will oversee Toshiba Corp.’s recently announced investment in Time Warner with partner C. Itoh & Co., Japan-based trading company.
Nishimuro will split his time between New York and Irvine, where the company has headquarters for three of its businesses: medical systems, computers and telephones, and electronic components.
