FULLERTON : Monthly Trash Rate Increases 20 Cents
Fullerton residents will see their next monthly trash-collection bill increase from $9.55 to $9.75.
The 20-cent hike, which went into effect Tuesday, is prompted by a 4.2% cost-of-living increase for the workers who haul the trash.
The trash fee includes the hauling charge, as well as fees for landfill entry, hazardous waste and administration.
Fullerton officials say residents still have the lowest trash rates in North County. Residents of Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, La Habra and Placentia all paid more than $10 a month for the service during the 1991-92 fiscal year.
