Simi Valley police Friday discovered a cache of suspected stolen tools and automotive accessories worth $15,000 in a shed rented by a man arrested earlier in the week on suspicion of burglary.

Mark Edward Reyner, 23, of Simi Valley was arrested Sunday after police seized an estimated $10,000 worth of suspected stolen property from the garage at his home in the 3400 block of Highwood Court. Police said the goods, which included boxes of socket wrenches and citizens band radios, were stolen from the Sears, Roebuck store in Simi Valley.

In an ensuing investigation, a detective discovered that Reyner also rented a shed in the 100 block of Easy Street, officials said. Police obtained a warrant to search the shed and found the $15,000 worth of tools and automobile accessories.

The items were impounded as suspected stolen property, but police said they do not know where the goods came from.
