San Marino : Toilet Rebate Approved
The City Council last week unanimously approved a resolution granting rebates to residents who agree to exchange existing high-volume flush toilets for approved ultra-low-flow ones in order to conserve water resources.
Up to $100 per household is being offered jointly by the California-American Water Co., which services San Marino, and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
“It took a long time to plan the program. But, whether we are in a high rationing situation or not, we find that ours is a long-term solution that is still timely,” said Susan McInnis, community and employee relations manager of California-American.
Requests for rebates should be made to California-American, (818) 289-7821.
