South Korea’s Auto Exports to U.S. Fall; Share of Market May Drop Below 2%

SEOUL, South Korea —
South Korean auto makers predicted Friday that their share of the U.S. auto market would drop to less than 2% this year because of increased competitiveness.
South Korean cars now occupy 2% of the U.S. market, compared with 3.04% in 1989, 2.5% in 1990 and 2.4% in 1991.
