How Do You Say Goodby?: Dennis Miller, whose late-night talk show was canceled last Friday, joked with his audience Monday night as he began his final week of original programming. “My wife and I went up to a cabin in Big Bear--no phones, no TV, no radio. Anything happen I should know about?” he asked. “All right, we got canceled,” he continued. Suggesting that the cancellation could be treated like the five stages of mourning a loss, he said, “tonight is denial. . . . I feel like Ross Perot. I release all my delegates to Arsenio Hall and David Letterman.”
