Mine Tending: Fluor Daniel, the core subsidiary of Irvine engineering and construction giant Fluor Corp., has won a contract with the Chilean mining company Minera Escondida Limitada to provide engineering and construction management services to upgrade Escondida’s copper concentrator. The value of the contract, announced this week, was not disclosed.
