THE LAST WORD: The Clinton-Gore ticket won’t be able to count on Joey Ramone for support this fall. Before Sen. Al Gore was even tabbed as Gov. Bill Clinton’s running mate, the Ramones singer had recorded a song attacking Gore’s wife, Tipper, for her work with the Parents Music Resource Center to label explicit records. The song’s very title (“Censors---”) will probably ensure a warning sticker on the album, “Mondo Bizarro,” which is due in stores in the fall.
Sample lyrics:
Ah, Tipper come on, ain’t you been getting it on?
Ask Ozzy, Zappa or me
We’ll show you what it’s like to be free.
Ah, Tipper come on. It’s just a smoke screen
For the real problems:
S&L; deficit. The homeless. The environment.
