National Micro Appeals Order: National Micro Vision Systems Inc., a wireless cable company in Irvine, said it has appealed a cease-and-desist order issued against it by state securities regulators in Indiana.

Richard L. Tamplin, chief executive of National Micro, said in an interview that the company has appealed the order, which was issued in June after the company and its partner allegedly tried to market unregistered securities in the state.

Tamplin said that, in contrast with assertions by regulators, the company has a contract with a third-party licensee to operate four channels of a wireless cable-TV station in South Bend, Ind.

Tamplin said the company does not yet control licenses for other channels in the South Bend market but has applied for them. As many as 33 pay-TV channels can be broadcast in a so-called wireless cable, or microwave radio, operation.

National Micro’s partner in the deal, Phoenix-based Kymo Microwave Systems, did not respond to the cease-and-desist order, state Securities Commissioner Miriam Dant said. Tamplin said National Micro is no longer doing business with Kymo.
