Trident Test a Success

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. —
A Trident II missile was launched successfully from the submarine Maryland, which was cruising 50 miles off Florida’s coast, the Air Force reported. The test Wednesday was the eighth of its kind. The demonstrations are intended to show a submarine crew’s ability to safely handle the weapons system.
