The caption on your photograph of Phil Morris as Major Taylor in “Tracks of Glory” (TV Times, July 12) quotes him calling the miniseries “a history lesson for kids.” Presumably he is costumed in an American flag of the character’s era. One would think that someone among the scores of people who worked on this show might have remembered that prior to the addition of stars for the states of Hawaii and Alaska, the Union Jack contained six symmetrical rows of eight stars each.
