Biopool Reports $171,713 Profit for 2nd Quarter

Biopool International Inc., a Ventura marketer of medical test kits, posted a $171,713 profit for the second quarter, up from $563 a year earlier.
The higher earnings in the quarter ended June 30 came as Biopool’s sales more than doubled, to $1.47 million from $645,968. The company said recent agreements with additional distributors contributed to the gains.
Biopool’s profit for the first six months of this year totaled $293,209, compared with a year-earlier loss of $47,738, and its six-month sales nearly doubled, to $2.65 million from $1.35 million.
