Flamemaster Profits Fall 30% on 9% Revenue Drop

Flamemaster Corp., a Sun Valley maker of coatings and sealants, said its fiscal third-quarter profit fell 30% from a year earlier on a 9% drop in revenue.

In the quarter ended June 30, Flamemaster’s net income fell to $232,337 from $336,450 a year earlier, while its revenue fell to $1.37 million from $1.51 million. Increased competition in the aircraft-sealants market contributed to the declines, Flamemaster said.

For the first nine months of its fiscal year, Flamemaster’s profit rose 7%, to $600,119 from $559,874, and its revenue increased 8%, to $3.99 million from $3.71 million.
