Ex-NASA Official Wrongly Jailed as Drug Suspect

HOUSTON —
A former National Aeronautics and Space Administration security and protocol officer spent 30 hours in jail before authorities realized they had arrested the wrong man, officials said. Edward Smith Barker, 62, said Thursday he was subjected to “incredible indignities,” including a strip search and shackles, after he was arrested as a drug suspect.
