City-Imposed Assessments
“Read My Lips, No More Taxes”
Does that sound familiar? Here at the city level we’re talking about assessments, which are a little different. (Azusa officials) have imposed the assessments on just the property owners only, so they think. Do they think these assessments won’t be passed down to the renters? Think again. They will probably be increased by the landlords and passed down in the form of higher rents.
If our City Council had managed the city’s finances more responsibly, we might not be in as bad a shape as we are today. I feel the City Council and the citizens of Azusa need to look at these assessments again. Wake up, Azusans, before City Hall goes up for sale.
