For Better Living Inc.: The San Juan Capistrano maker of concrete electrical vaults and other custom concrete products reported earnings of $196,000, or 22 cents a share, for the second quarter, a 20% drop from $246,000, or 28 cents a share, for last year’s second quarter.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 27 was $17.3 million, down 2% from $17.6 million last year.

For the first half, the company posted earnings of $87,000, or 10 cents per share, a turnaround from last year’s six-month loss of $90,000, or 10 cents per share. Revenue for the period fell 3% to $33.1 million this year from $34.1 million last year.
