Two men arrested in the parking lot of a Simi Valley market when they allegedly delivered three kilograms of cocaine to undercover officers are scheduled to be arraigned today on charges of selling cocaine, authorities said.
Juan Nunez-Torrez, 43, of Van Nuys and Victor Linsley, 35, of Simi Valley were indicted Tuesday by the Ventura County grand jury on two counts of offering to sell cocaine and possession for sale.
The grand jury also made a finding that more than 3 pounds of cocaine was involved, a circumstance that would add an additional three years to any sentence, Deputy Dist. Atty. Nancy Ayers said.
The men were arrested July 15 in a shopping center parking lot off Los Angeles Street after undercover officers had arranged to buy 3 kilograms, or 6.6 pounds, of cocaine, Ayers said.
“Basically, we ordered up 3 kilos of cocaine and they delivered the dope,” Ayers said in explaining the undercover arrests.
If convicted, the two men could receive a maximum sentence of eight years in prison, she said.
