‘Washington’ Winners: Larry O’Flahavan, 31, of Santa Monica has won second place in the Democratic National Committee’s “30 Seconds Over Washington” amateur video contest. Contestants were asked to produce a 30-second TV commercial critical of President Bush and the Republicans to assist in the DNC’s media blitz this fall. The $5,000 first prize went to Michael Kovnat, 26, of Santa Fe, N.M. Judges included such Hollywood heavyweights as TriStar Pictures chairman Mike Medavoy, film and TV producer James L. Brooks, directors Jonathan Demme and Martha Coolidge and TV executive Garth Ancier.
