Beam Me Up: James Doohan will be reprising his “Star Trek” role as Scotty on an upcoming episode of “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” Scotty, it seems, has been suspended for 75 years in molecular limbo and turns up on an abandoned Federation transport ship encountered by the crew of the Enterprise. Doohan is the third regular “Star Trek” cast member to guest on the “Next Generation” series, Leonard Nimoy and DeForest Kelly having trekked through earlier episodes.
