Trading Places: In an even exchange, Irvine recently gained a company from Santa Ana, and vice versa.
BE Aerospace Inc. left its Santa Ana headquarters to take over about 50,000 square feet in an Irvine industrial building. The space was vacated by Novadyne Computer Systems Inc. when the hardware distributor consolidated its operations into a 170,000-square-foot, built-to-suit facility in Santa Ana.
BE Aerospace is the nation’s largest supplier of cabin interior products to the commercial aircraft industry. It manufactures aircraft seating and audiovisual equipment.
The Seeley Co.’s Anaheim office represented BE Aerospace in the 10-year, $2.5-million lease. McDonnell Douglas Realty Co. represented Novadyne, which did not disclose the value of its transaction.
