Share

A total of eight candidates met this week’s filing deadline and will seek two open seats in the Nov. 3 City Council election.

Up for grabs are the seats of Councilmen Kenneth E. Friess and Jerry Harris, whose terms will expire in November. Friess, a 16-year member of the five-man council, announced last year that he would not seek reelection.

Harris, however, who was appointed to the council last November, has entered the race.

The rest of the field includes Collene (Thompson) Campbell, a businesswoman/administrator and former Planning Commission member; Elizabeth T. Fauskin, an office assistant; Robert Allen Hagstrom, a retired military officer; Stan Kensic, a public affairs officer; Frances S. Tipton, a member of the mobile home park committee; Carolyn Nash, a local business co-owner and a former planning commissioner; and Darlene R. Perreault, a downtown business owner.
