Glendora : Garbage Rate Hikes OKd
The City Council agreed to a new garbage collection contract with City Refuse that includes an increase in residential fees by almost 15%, but which officials say will improve service.
Finance Director Larry Schroeder said the increase from $10.01 to $11.49 for single-family pickup and $70.23 to $80 for commercial bin service is necessary because fees had been subsidized by the previous trash collector.
