BOONE’S FARM: Former Angel catcher Bob Boone isn’t bragging when he says it was inevitable that eldest son Bret, 23, above, would make history in the first three-generation family in the major leagues. . . . “He’s been one of the best players in the Pacific Coast League,” he said of Bret, a graduate of Placentia’s El Dorado High and second base starter Wednesday for the Seattle Mariners. “It was just a matter of time,” said the proud dad, manager of the minor league Tacoma Tigers. . . . Bob’s father Ray Boone, who played from 1948-60, is now a Boston Red Sox scout.
