The Segerstrom Foundation will give $500,000 to the Orange County Performing Arts Center’s endowment fund, foundation officials announced Thursday. The money will be paid in equal installments over a five-year period, beginning in 1993. The fund is currently $4.3 million. The Center’s goal is $15 million by the end of 1996. The fund helps pay for events presented by the Center. The Segerstrom family and foundation gave $12 million in land and cash toward building the Center and has given an additional $700,000 to the building’s annual fund since it opened in 1986.
