ABA on Abortion

I read with disgust the American Bar Assn. reversal of itself in backing abortion rights (Aug. 12). I am happy that I severed my association with the ABA some 12 years ago or longer. I can only say that it is a disgrace to the lawyers of this country, as well as to those who remain in its membership who share my views. It does not take into consideration the opposition of so many of its members, who have strong moral beliefs against abortion.
The next move for the association is its approval of euthanasia. It would be one method of reducing Social Security, Medicare, Medi-Cal and other expenditures that are incurred for the care of senior citizens.
