LAGUNA HILLS — The parents of a Laguna Hills High School student who was killed this week in a car accident have set up a scholarship fund in her name, family members said.
Tara Moore, 15, died Tuesday night when the van she was in ran into the back of a stake bed truck parked on the curb of Vista Viejo. Two other girls were hurt. Authorities said none had been wearing a seat belt and that alcohol was not involved.
Services for Tara Moore are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Religious Science in Laguna Hills.
Her parents are asking that, in lieu of flowers, money be sent to the Tara Moore Scholarship Fund at the school.
