DENVER — Television stations can’t ban political campaign ads showing aborted fetuses but they can run warnings before the commercials, the Federal Communications Commission has ruled.
The controversy over the ads began earlier this month when U.S. Senate candidate Matt Noah, a member of the Christian Pro-Life Party, ran an ad on two local stations showing aborted fetuses.
Judges in two lawsuits have refused to ban the ads.
