Party Comparisons

Share

In watching the Republican convention, I’m was amazed at the similarity it had with the Democratic convention. I could close my eyes and not tell the difference. Neither party is taking responsibility for the way things are today. The Democrats blame President Bush, and the Republicans blame the Democratic Congress.

Enough with the finger-pointing. Let’s hear how each party proposes to solve the problems of our economy, which in turn have led to our problems with unemployment, the homeless, gangs, and an overall lowering of our standard of living.

I’m tired of hearing of Bill Clinton’s skirt-chasing, of Dan Quayle’s poor spelling, and of George Bush’s inability to handle our domestic problems. Those are yesterday’s cares. There seems to exist a vacuum waiting to be filled. It’s waiting for a real statesman to step up. I would like to hear from George Bush, the man, and Bill Clinton, the man, not what their speech writers and advisers tell them they should say. I believe the American people would like to see them focus on solutions and not on each other.
