Sutro & Co. has added four members to its investment banking division. They are Christopher D. Jennings, managing director; Douglas S. Johnston, managing director; Jonathan G. Morgan, managing director, and Wendie W. St. Jean, vice president.
Morgan is based in Sutro’s San Francisco office. The other three are at the investment banking division’s new headquarters in West Los Angeles.
Jennings is a former managing director at Dean Witter Capital Markets. Johnston, a specialist in private placements, is a former partner at Alex. Brown & Sons Inc. Morgan comes to Sutro from Montgomery Securities in San Francisco. He served for seven years as managing director and headed that firm’s mergers and acquisitions division. St. Jean was formerly an associate at Merrill Lynch & Co. in Los Angeles. Earlier she held similar posts at First Boston Corp. and Salomon Bros.
