Loan Guarantees for Israel
Gee, Mr. Bush, you’d find us “warm, constructive and friendly,” if you’d consider a loan to the people of California (“Chill Is Gone, Loan Deal Near for Bush, Rabin,” Aug. 11). We could use a few billion to “provide jobs and housing,” not to mention schooling for the influx of immigrants. We’re drowning in state IOUs, Mr. Bush, because our elected officials are choking on words like quota , moratorium , or just plain, gasp, closed .
