CHINA’S ONE-CHILD POLICY
Since “thousands of female children are simply abandoned in rural hospitals,” many infants are available for adoption. China is easing adoption rules for U.S. citizens (including single parents), for whom it is now possible to adopt a healthy Chinese infant in a matter of months.
