Shon Tarver made two free throws with 39 seconds remaining to break an 83-83 tie, giving UCLA an 85-83 victory over Sassari in an exhibition at Cagliari, Italy. Ed O’Bannon had 26 points and 10 rebounds, with Tarver and Mitchell Butler adding 18 points each for the Bruins, who rallied from a 53-43 halftime deficit. The Bruins are 2-3 in their 10-game tour of Italy and will play Wednesday in Cagliari against Fabriano.
