GM Reintroduces Lower-Priced Skylark: General Motors Corp.’s upscale Buick division reintroduced a lower-priced version of its Skylark compact car in a bid to revive slumping sales of the model. The company said the 1993 Skylark will be offered in three models, ranging in price from $12,955 to $15,760, to broaden the car’s appeal. Buick General Manager Edward Mertz said Buick misread the market for the small car last year when it eliminated Skylark’s two entry-level models and priced the two remaining ones at $13,560 to $15,555. Despite a new design, sales of the Skylark have tumbled 25.5% in this model year to just over 50,000 units.
