Job Stress

Share

California can’t afford to lose companies and add to our unemployment. Our auto insurance rates went up when attorneys created “whiplash suits.” Big settlements have been paid by cities to people who fell over a sidewalk crack or had accidents while swimming at certain beaches. Now attorneys have encouraged job-related stress to be the “in thing.”

We have always had stress and lived with it--the mother bringing her newborn home; the first day at school; a change in company management; all bring on a certain amount of stress. For 3 1/2 years during World War II, I had my share of stress.

Let us realize we have to cope with stress--be alert but relax when driving our stressful freeways. Face up to reality and don’t make attorneys richer than they already are.
