Countywide : Gallegly Speaks on Gun Owners’ Rights
Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) assured more than 100 members of the Ojai Valley Gun Club Thursday that he staunchly supports the constitutional right of Americans to bear arms.
He also defended the rights of Korean businessmen to use arms to protect property during the Los Angeles riots .
Gallegly is running for a fourth term in Congress in the new 23rd District. He is opposed by Anita Perez Ferguson of Oxnard, an education consultant.
About a dozen picketers, mostly women, appeared outside the meeting.
