BUSY KNIGHTS: Author Robert M. Snyder, who runs Chess for Juniors in Garden Grove, is excited about the ongoing Bobby Fischer/Boris Spassky match for a couple of reasons. Snyder loves Fischer’s chess play and was once a consultant for Spassky. . . . But more important, Snyder says, there’s so much interest in the match, “things are really booming in the chess world. My phone is ringing off the hook with people who want to get into chess--adults as well as young people.”
