PUBLISHING BIRTH: There’s a new magazine on the market here aimed at new parents, called Orange County Baby. Its publishers know a little about the field--it’s the offspring of Parenting Magazine, based in Santa Ana. . . . The fall issue has a piece on whimsical nurseries, prenatal workouts, and a minutiae of information. Such as: Mothers can eat garlic before nursing. Studies show that “babies, far from being revolted, seemed to prefer the garlic-laced brew.”
