LOS ANGELES : Times Mirror Counsel Named to Superior Court

Attorney Daniel Curry of Manhattan Beach has been appointed to the Los Angeles Superior Court by Gov. Pete Wilson, the governor’s office announced on Tuesday.

Curry, 55, a vice president and general counsel for Times Mirror, will replace Judge Leon Savitch, who is retiring. Before coming to Times Mirror, The Times’ parent company, in October, 1987, Curry served as senior vice president and general counsel at Amfac Inc. in San Francisco. Prior to that, he served as counsel to Technicolor Inc.

Curry received his law degree from Loyola Law School in 1960. He is a member of the American Bar Assn. and the state bars of California, Hawaii and New York.
