Glendora : $18,050 for Rail Line Study
The City Council voted unanimously to commit $18,050 in Proposition C sales tax funds toward an environmental impact report to study the effects of the extension of commuter rail lines from Pasadena to Claremont.
The Los Angeles County Transportation Commission will pay half of the cost of about $350,000, with participating cities dividing the remainder.
Glendora’s share was set in negotiations with the other cities and is based on an estimate of which cities will benefit the most and on the number of rail miles extending through each city. Glendora has the most miles, 4.3.
