La Canada Flintridge : City Gives Seniors a Boost
The City Council voted unanimously Monday to appropriate $3,000 in Proposition A funds to help a senior citizens group pay transportation costs for its excursions.
The Leisure Club, with 173 members from La Canada Flintridge, La Crescenta and North Glendale, will take trips to such places as Long Beach via the Blue Line and the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove.
The private club is open to senior citizens and charges for each trip range from $22 to $31 per person, City Manager Gabrielle Pryor said. For more information, call the club at (818) 790-4100.
