CLUB ED: Vehicle and sports accident victims who suffer permanent head injuries used to go from the hospital to a life of watching “Mr. Ed” on TV, says Cathy DeMello of the Dayle McIntosh Center. But not here. People with head trauma help run the center’s Clubhouse in Santa Ana, which held its open house Wednesday. It’s for them only: They organize activities, fix the meals, and even do the landscaping. . . . Says DeMello, who is helping develop other “Clubhouses” statewide: “It gives them a reason to get up in the morning.”
