Frost Rushes for 138 Yards as El Dorado Wins

Spencer Frost ran for 138 yards and one touchdown to lead El Dorado to a 23-0 victory over Century in the season opener for both teams Friday night at Santa Ana Stadium.

Frost capped the opening drive for the Golden Hawks with a one-yard scoring run and Alex Molner’s kick gave El Dorado a 7-0 lead.

Molner scored from three yards out in the second quarter and added 31-yard field goal in the fourth quarter for El Dorado.

Jim Beck, who completed nine of 14 passes for 125 yards, completed a 15-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Haynes on the second play of the fourth quarter to account for the other El Dorado score.

“I was pleased that everyone was able to get into the game,” El Dorado Coach Rick Jones said. “It was a strong team effort.”

The Golden Hawks forced five turnovers in recording the shutout. El Dorado accounted for 342 yards and limited Century to 102 yards, two in the second half.
