Dailey Wins Hilton Account: Hilton Hotels Corp. has picked Los Angeles-based Dailey & Associates to handle its estimated $16-million advertising business, ending its 25-year relationship with the Los Angeles office of McCann-Erickson. The account is a continuation of a comeback for Dailey, which shortly after losing the $30-million California State Lottery account, went on to win the Sizzler ad business. For McCann, the loss is a major blow. Executives were not available for comment, but layoffs are expected to soon follow at the agency’s Los Angeles office.
