Swedish Navy Attacks Suspected Foreign Sub

STOCKHOLM —
The Swedish navy attacked a suspected foreign submarine with depth charges and grenades Wednesday after chasing the intruder for days, the military said.
There were no reports of a hit, but the military said it was investigating. The attack reflected the navy’s growing impatience with continued intrusions, which have been reported regularly for more than a decade. The former Soviet Union was suspected of many of them.
