BUENA PARK — Three young masked men--one brandishing a gun--burst into a Bank of America branch during business hours Saturday morning and emptied out several tellers’ drawers of cash before escaping, police said.
The three men, described as possibly in their late teens, entered the bank at 7855 La Palma Ave. at 11:22 and ordered all the customers to the floor, said Lt. Patrick Black of the Buena Park Police Department. While one robber armed with a blue, semiautomatic revolver watched the customers, the others jumped over the tellers’ counter and collected the money, Black said.
No one was hurt and no shots were fired, Black said. The robbers took an unknown amount of cash, Black said.
