Trout fishing has been pretty good at Lake Casitas, so Rip Reed decided to spend last Sunday drift-fishing with a nightcrawler--the popular method.

But the fish that inhaled his worm was no trout. Instead, it was a largemouth bass worthy of a place on the wall. It tipped the lake scales at 12 pounds.
